I am a professional play-by-play broadcaster with more than two decades of experience calling live sports at the highest levels of collegiate athletics. As the lead play-by-play voice of Mississippi State Athletics, I have built a career defined by meticulous preparation, confident execution, and the ability to deliver clear, compelling storytelling in the game's biggest moments.
Over the course of more than 1,300 live broadcasts, I have called SEC football, basketball, baseball, and Olympic sports, developing a reputation for accuracy, pace, and composure in high-pressure environments. Whether describing a game-winning drive, a ninth-inning rally, or a championship-clinching moment, my goal is always the same: provide listeners with a broadcast that is informative, engaging, and authentic.
I believe great broadcasters are lifelong students of the craft. Throughout my career, I've learned from mentors and colleagues connected to some of college sports' most respected voices, including Cawood Ledford at the University of Kentucky, John Ward at the University of Tennessee, and Woody Durham at the University of North Carolina. As the Voice of the Bulldogs, I have also immersed myself in the legacy of Mississippi State legend Jack Cristil, studying the preparation, discipline, and conversational style that made him one of the most trusted voices in college athletics. I'm also an unapologetic radio enthusiast, constantly listening to broadcasts across the country in search of new techniques, fresh ideas, and subtle details that can elevate the listener's experience.
My philosophy is simple: exceptional play-by-play does more than describe what happened. It provides context, builds anticipation, and earns the listener's trust. Every broadcast should help the audience visualize the action, understand its significance, and feel connected to the story unfolding in real time.
